Chet the Jet
Chet "the Jet" Blanton works for the Hawaii Bicycle League as their Coordinator/Instructor for the Bike Ed program in Honolulu, Hawaii. His job is to instruct 4th graders how to ride a bike safely.
Chet also is a part time Tennis Coach in Honolulu. He has coached at Pearl Harbor and was the assistant coach at Iolani High School.
In January 2000 Chet started TEAM JET HAWAII to offer a fun yet quality training environment for Hawaii's aspiring runners, swimmers, cyclers and triathletes.
Now in it's 11th year, TEAM JET HAWAII has over 250 people in enrolled in it's trainings each year, and keeps the Jet-man busy.

In November 1998 Chet completed the world's longest Ironman - the Double Deca (20x Ironman distance) composed of a 48 mile swim, 2,240 mile bike, and 524 mile run completing the continuous race in 28 days and 6 hours.
Chet was the reigning world record holder for completing the most Ironman Triathlon distance races in one year (27) from 1998-2003.
